Review:
The story of the book comes from the perspective of a seven-year-old boy where he is introduced to a mysterious girl, Letty Hempstock, and her mother and grandmother. One day an evil being is liberated through the suicide of a man. Which, of course, made the video an overnight sensation. He has to face that entity without realizing anything else, he has no role of protector compared to his age wise, magical Letty Hempstock.
The whole story of the book has come up as a lot of reminiscences. Where the battle of good and evil energy as well as the various aspects of a child’s psychology have come to the fore, this is the aspect I have enjoyed the most. A child’s thoughts, dreams, attitudes have come up. In a word, a great and enjoyable book. Speaking of translation, there is no chance to complain about Salman Haque’s translation.
